I can't rate the accommodation as I stayed in a hotel nearby (Elcano) which was great.

Great school and staff - shame about some of the students.

Good Points
I've studied here twice and both times the standard of the teaching and the course were excellent. My first course was a week at A2 level with a small group of students from mixed ages and countries, we had Manuel as our teacher. It was a great course - lots of practice and Manuel is a great teacher who is also very funny and makes learning fun.
I returned on the B1 course and had Susanah who is a very good teacher, interesting and obviously interested in the learning process.
The staff at the school are friendly and helpful, the office staff go out of their way to make you welcome.
I love this school and wish I could go there for a few months to really improve my Spanish - unfortunately, this is not possible due to work commitments but even a week really helps with my Spanish.
I would recommend it bearing in mind my comments about the bad points.
Bad Points
My second week here was a disappointment due to the appalling attitude of some of the students on the course. It seems that there are a few young students whose parents have obviously paid for them to attend in the vain hope of improving their grades at Spanish. They don't take the course seriously, arrive late, don't bother with homework and show distain and lack of interest on the course.
The arrogance of some of these privileged spoilt kids is truly appalling.
It made learning unpleasant at times and our class was interrupted constantly by them arriving late, texting on their phones, leaving to use the phone or for a break and generally being totally spoilt brats.
I would not attend a class in future unless it is for over 30's - but this is not the schools fault at all - I would definitely return for one to one teaching.
It's a real shame - hope you know who you are and how lucky you are to be given this opportunity of a lifetime and stupid you are to throw it away.

If you wanna learn Spanish, go somewhere else!

I would definitely NOT recommend Cervantes Escuela Internacional.

Good Points

Bad Points
I spent 4 weeks at Cervantes, and for 3 of them I kept on studying the same things over and over, because there were not enough people to set a class for every level. I was really disappointed when other people and I asked to the teacher to teach us at least how to use verbs in the past tenses and they said they couldn't because "it was not in the book". We didn't learn much in the end and 60 hours lessons to accomplish level A2.1 is definitely not an intensive class. About the accomodation, luckily I found one on my own, because almost all the people I met there had a lot of problems with their room/apartment. The school is located far from the centre (at least 30 min by bus). Malaga is a nice city, but if you wanna learn Spanish and not to waste your money, don't choose this school.

Hoe leuk Spaans leren kan zijn

Good Points

Nog twee dingen die ik wil noemen zijn;
